I kind of want to see the battle that the memories of were erased.

Interesting that the Seer Demon addresses Frieren directly as well. Wonder if the Seer is the Demon closest to knowing emotion and the 1000 years in the future he saw was something more than demons just surviving to kill and live

Not gonna lie, that was a badass move from Schlact. Also a reason we can look forward for another 1000 chapters if the demons have contingency plans like that.

Okay, I was wrong. Macht is just running an experiment. The "peace" and "coexistence" parts are probably just him deliberately deluding himself in order to achieve the most perfect condition to, theoretically, be attached to the Lord and the People of Weise. All part of the experiment.

But that reveal explains how Macht forgets about the Battle with the Hero. Frieren's probably going to pull some tricks related to that. Some insight that she learnt from back then, one that Macht forgot had already been revealed.

Someone in comments said demons can't feel emotions. But a number of demon emotions were alluded to in this chapter.

Fear, they keep demons in line through fear.

Desire to preserve demonkind, which is both the emotion worry (to worry about demons becoming extinct) and compassion/caring of the potential extinction of demons.

Also "I hope you survive", once again caring and compassion.

And again I reiterate, must understand caring/compassion and/or morals to understand guilt & malice. That demon he hoped will live, kill that demon, that is your best bet for understanding "guilt".

I feel this is all very contrived so that this demon is expressing caring through death and destruction (of humans) to make some kind of supposedly profound statement about humanity or something I guess.

The most logical action won't be taken or the most convenient circumstances always seem to happen in this story as it tries to get to whatever story destination the author is aiming it. I grant you that is is pretty normal, but it should not be so obvious, so breaking of suspension of disbelief.

  You are right. I think the thing is, demons don't regards us humans in the way they regard their own kind. To them, we are just like an "insect" to them like how we think at cockroaches. Basically, we don't give a fu@k about them, like we can squash every single one of them at any given time without remorse or guilt or malice.

  no, no, no... it is one thing to think about things and do actions accordingly and another thing to feel...
  Demons want to survive but not out of fear but because they feel superior but they know that there are humans or other races with beings that are also powerful.

it's not Japan; it is how the industry works in general. This is a weekly manga so in 1 week u have to push out 20 pages of drawing in full detail (some hire assistant to help draw, some dont because of various reasons (drawing styles, privacy, ects...)) but still not enough if they let it longer, let say: 2 weeks for 20 pages then the sales gonna drop and the company gonna collapse everyone loses their jobs and so on.

Not only that, they have to make 1 chapter per week so that it can quickly gather all the chapters to make a full volume of sales => this sale is the main income of the author, so if this sale is delayed or drop, the author gonna be affected the most. They just have no choice man (unless they use technology to draw, which I gurarnteer u the thing that make manga good and hook people is soul in drawing, if u lost that good luck to the industry.)

All the other comments in this chapter complaining about the sudden ending expected more story post chapter 107, when they got together.

I said this BS seven months ago when that chapter came out: the story was going to end the moment they became a couple. What we had was essentially 8 chapters of them getting used to the new normal, and a send off to all the other characters.

If anything people were more hyped that Gojo and Marin got together so quickly. Chapter 99 had Gojo realise his feelings but in typical fashion he couldn't express himself, Marin noticed and got upset about it thinking he's upset that she's taking him away from his passion when they met Non-chan, Non-Chan apologizes for her actions, he goes to Marin and confesses his feelings and they become a couple.

The community practically jizzed themselves over how fast it took, considering it was seven chapters past the 100th one - it looked like they were expecting more drama.

But as I said before, every comment complaining about the ending was talking about how they expected more: a story arc about them exploring their new normal, the plotline about Marin being scouted and possibly being recognized for her as Haniel cosplay, anything to keep the story going, but the following chapters from 107 onwards was just the story resolving things. They immediately shut down the idea of Marin being recognized in 109 & 113 while the rest of the chapters have been a bunch of congratulations and them being cute.
