Plot is about a master and disciple pair of travellers that are crossing a desert/wasteland and find a remote village. At the inn, there is an array of other travellers including a warrior, a mother and son and a monk. Dried bodies, water that wards off monsters and the villager's suspicious activity begin a series of events which reveal the village's dark truth. This also sets a plot of war between races and clans further into motion between humans and vampires (not the sparkly kind, these are tribal and go around in UFO's.)

A little bumpkin kid by the name of Hanada Ichiro gets into all kinds of mischief until things take a turn for the nasty. Trying to escape the wrath of his enraged mother, he gets in an accident, resulting in nine stitches on the back of his head, and one little side-effect: a knack for the supernatural. Young Ichiro is now able to communicate with ghosts, who just can't get off his back with all kinds of requests.

Won the 19th Kodansha Manga Award for general manga in 1995.

One day a 23-year-old Japanese musician travels to Mongolia in order to get inspirations for writing a piece of music. There he meets Kanon whose mother runs the "Hotel Kanon" in the desert. Kanon grew up in Mongolia, does not know who her father is and takes him for dead as her mother told her so. Then Kanon's mother who fell from a horse dies of injury. Before her death, she tells her daughter that she came to Mongolia because she could not stay in Japan as she had an affair with Kanon's father, a musician, who is actually still alive, and she asks Kanon to find him in Japan by becoming a violin virtuoso, but dies before telling her his name.
Thus Kanon goes with the young man to Japan where she learns to become a musician in a music school run by Mikami, a handsome young man and worldwide very successful musician and conductor. Soon the younger sister of her mother gives her photos of three musicians, one of whom might be her father. Kanon's erring search for her father begins.

Kakei Shirou, a lawyer whose hobby is cooking, lives with his lover Yabuki Kenji, a hairdresser. The story follows their daily lives, with the dishes that Kakei makes providing the backdrop against which the author explores the reality of being a gay couple in Japan.

Some people are the type to sit back and watch a situation, hoping it ends in the best way possible; some are the type that jump into the situation head first and do all they can to make it end the best way possible. Daigo Asahina is a prime example of the latter. Working as a firefighter, his unorthodox ways are constantly getting him a little too much negative attention from his superiors as well as the media. Despite his constant struggle to keep his job, when the fire is roaring and lives are in danger, Daigo will ignore every order given as well as put his own life on the line to ensure everyone person is pulled from the blaze alive.

Himawari - Kenichi Legend is a gag manga based on the manga author's real life story.
Himawari is about an OL named Akiko who is very good at drawing illustrations for her company bulletins. She drew manga as a kid, but hadn't pursued it. Her father Ken'ichi works at the same company. He is a tropical fruit freak & is on a different wavelength than others.

On the planet of Hekiou, there is a continuing war between the first wave of immigrants and the second. An important section of the military uses a native creature, the Niebass, to give its soldiers translocation abilities. These soldiers are all women, with the alien creature transplanted into their wombs. Some people see this practice as a violation of human women by aliens, and Mana Oga's boyfriend has a similar perspective on the matter. Mana Oga is a new soldier in this section, and the story follows her and the other women in her group who accept the alien creatures into their wombs in order to defend their homes.

In this story set in the early 1980s, a young man dreams of becoming a renowned comic writer in years to come. His name is HONOO Moyuru. He has no money, only a dream. This is a tortured elegy for any dashing young art student who spends his days careening around in burning ambition. Many alpinists make their way up mountain trails in the hope of reaching a summit in Japan’s Northern Alps, where Sanpo lives. With comments like “You really hung in there!” and “Make sure you come again!”, he cheers up the climbers as they head back to everyday life.

"In this world, there are all kinds of perils! I'll teach you how to save yourself from those dangers, you moron!" So says Dangerous Jiisan, always looking out for his grandson. But, lacking any common sense, he usually makes things catastrophically worse in ridiculous, funny ways.

It's a children's gag comedy largely done in manzai style (funny man vs. straight man). Most of the jokes are silly, with ridiculous occurrences, puns, poking fun at popular culture, and breaking the fourth wall, but there is some subtle humor in places, too. Zettaizetsumei Denjarasu Jiisan received the 2005 Shogakukan Manga Award for children's manga.

Nishimi Kaoru has moved from city to city and school to school because of his father’s job, so having his first day at a new school was just routine for him. Being intellectual in addition to being a transfer student all the time, he has always been seen as an outcast. All he has had to do was bear it as usual until the next time he moved.
But things were slightly different this time. First, he started to get close to the class president, Mukae Ritsuko, and secondly, unlikely as it seemed, he grew closer to Kawabuchi Sentaro. Sentaro was infamous for getting into fights, skipping class and was an overall bad boy. Strangely enough, the three of them find common ground in music, namely jazz, and Kaoru finds himself actually enjoying the new town.

Vol. 01 tells the story of Tsubomi Tachibana, a fifth grader dealing with issues such as her mother's pregnancy, her first period, and the strange feelings she has started to get when she has been around boys.

Vol. 02 tells the story of Tsubomi Kusakabe, a fifth grader, who encounters an alien wanting to do research of earth. It turns out he has picked Tsubomi to be his research subject.
