This is true because they still used the standardized languange even in daily. Just slight modification, so if you knwo the meaning you can go with it since the grammar did not differ too much. But the SEA languange is too much of a fluid language that we almost never used the standardized grammar when speaking. I can guarantee you, even if the president who is speaking, if they do not read it off of a script, they will use some kind of unofficial grammar. Its just that alien to us.
