Well I don't think death is necessarily a light punishment either. (Obv nuance should be applied cause I'm not generalizing this to everyone). But getting killed when you have aspirations is a huge blow. It's definitely not as light as people try to make it out to be.

I mainly said death was inappropriate here cause he didn't do something that warranted death or long excruciating punishment, he was just kinda a dickhead. It would've been better writing if she took the win and little broed him instead of following behind faithfully and taking disrespect.

As for the real life part of this discussion, I'm not even gonna go there cause that's a whole other conversation 😭🙏🏿, it's a pretty complicated issue.

I understand not liking a mean character but for me, they have to do something that actually warrants death for me to wish it. For the most part he's been taking it the black made followers so I didn't mind him in the story, and they also chose to redeem him early. If you tried to kill every person who was mean at one point and turned their life around you'd wipe out half the world population. As for story relevance you kinda have to give screen time to someone so we can get a better idea of how the world operates outside of the mc. I just think jumping to murdering a character is wild. 😭

Pretty fair analysis. I would've like them to have a major battle in the war, which brings both sides to a temporary stand still (which happens irl). This would give us time to transition into a proper war arc without threat of another random interruption. One month feels insufficient for what he's trying to do. A year or 9 months would've felt great and is realistic in warfare scenario. I feel like other characters in this series are too weak and that time would also allow them to improve. I'm not sure if I like Arthur having to be responsible for everything when we're supposed to have stronger assets helping us. Across the board we need to see a steady and fair power increase so we can actually transition into a proper war arc. 😭.
