The martial arts she's referring here are the Murim type martial arts. Things like cultivation, elixers etc. In the previous chapter the girl and her grandfather were talking about how the Chinese developed their chi/chakra/internal energy instead of relying on the system to grant them skills.

I have a theory that the reason the crystal ball is going off is because the people of China's cultivation methods caused them to absorb monster's energy and make it their own, so all the incredibly powerful monsters Sys is sensing are just people who had good cultivation techniques, so they absorbed vast amounts of monster energy.
