The Story so far reminded of the Manga Black Cat from Kentaro Yabuki. A retired superhuman famed assassin from an organization called Kronos which is full of superhuman agents. One of them was even a master of disguise like Nagumo who could freely change his appearances in an instant. And now comes a new more powerful villain group that forced the retired Assassin to once again have contact with his former organization’s members.

He is such a good guy too. He is poorer than dirt yet he gives his pet 10 times more worth of food than he could give himself. What a guy.

I guess this is the best that could happen. It’s great that the Demon God is a True Neutral like how a God should. He will grant anything at the cost of the wisher’s everything. An equivalent exchange that needs to be respected without compromise. Yeah I can live with that.

And yeah, while Emma met with her family once again, without her memory ever coming back, it does not count at all. To her, they are all now only like new friends she just met. Sure, they can create a new memory starting from now on. But with her old memory never coming back to her, it will never be the same ever. For Emma alone at least. For the rest of the family members, they got back what they lost.

If she didnt want to do her job, someone else will. If she didnt want to ship out her children, the demons will forcibly take them. If she let her children escape to the wilds, they’d be dead for sure. So all she did was raised the kids with utmost love till their time comes. And she had my respect for that because not even I can find any better solution in the condition she was put in.

That Norman’s “Huh?” is a huge hint. He expected death, he knew about the demons, and what he saw here is something else he’s not expecting.

Just like Krone, Mom Isabella is also a superwoman with not just brain but top physical attributes. And she is so much more than Krone, that’s how.

Man, I remembered how intense this series was in the early days. So awesome. Even the other “deadweight” kids are considered special here.

If she already knows someone sneaked out and saw what happened that night and she deliberately showed them the tracking device, then it doesnt feel like a declaration of war at all. She is showing her hand. It’s like she is telling them “watch out for this and look for a way to overcome it.”
