Author did sucker punched us with the maggots. And then he had to rub it in our faces and give us a healing station right after that room. Couldn't he have waited a bit? That growth rate was even beyond Alien face hugger level. I think that story is AI generated, maybe not the art, but definitely the writing. The tropes seem randomly placed and the reasoning is on the level of a small child.
