Ain't no way this is a season two ending.

It takes a lot to break somebody even if they are on the edge. And eventually abuse victims just get use to the treatment, kinda like in a inbetween state. But I do have a feeling if the mc or next couple of heroes treated the demon lord like how the past heroes did then she truly would have been broken.
But you know the best way to truly bring someone to despair is to get rid of the person or thing that gave them hope; it's double impactful if that person already had low self-esteem. So the holy sword might kill the mc or try to.

So the sword was made that way from the beginning and evolved it's tactics. But how do you get rid of and immortal sword that corrupts all who are near it (not evening having to touch it)?
Also hypothetically if the sword got rid of the demon king what would happen to it? Would it disappear or control humans from the shadow as God messager?

So this world does understand the concept of enemies and nations but not full scale battles against fellow humans because the demon problem just that big. It's weird that they don't understand on some lvl where the mc coming from.
