Base-10 that we use is so low-tier, I'd rather pick base-8 or even base-4 as alternative. Anything's good, as long as it easily translates to binary and back by being base-(power of 2). Multiplication by 2 is one of the most fundamental operations out there, so it's awful that in decimal it gives us weird-ass numbers such as 1024, 2048, 4096 or 2097152, instead of neat 400, 800, 1000 and 200000. In digital age that's unacceptable!
