While it may be true that the MC isn't the most talented individual, I think the main thing that was holding him back was his flawed foundation in swordsmanship. Now that that has been corrected, I think it's only natural that he's displaying a faster growth compared to before, which is a relief to me, because I felt it was leaning a bit too heavily into the talentless bit initially.

Ok, I hope they go all in on Kitami going psychotic and really strain the morality of the situation to the limit with Noma acting as the comedic relief. Also, wouldn't it be funny if the aliens actually all looked like normal people, and the way we see them is simply through the lens of the MC's perception? It's not gonna be that way, I'm sure, but it sounds cool.

Honestly, I think Nakayama is great. His genuinely horrible personality is quite refreshing lol plus he gives off a psuedo chad aura sometimes, just a bit.

I didn't say she didn't do much, I said she wasn't sexualized. And just because that often tends to be the case doesn't guarantee it will be this time, which it isn't, based on what I've read. She's just a cute little daughter character to highlight the familial environment he has built with Seolah.

Is this trying to present something that benefits the world? Or is it just trying to be interesting and entertaining? Personally, I don't think we should constrain all forms of entertainment under such a mindset, and I think people can, or should, be able to differentiate between what is right and wrong irregardless.

As far as I'm concerned, when I'm reading comics I just want to be entertained, and the morality represented therein is optional. If I want to focus on such things I'll go read the bible, not manga.

I don't get why you guys are assuming that this will be made into a significant part of the story. The author could go in that direction with it, sure, but when I read this I saw the "slave contract" to just be a joke that fits in with her character with the main focus being of the shared lifespan between the two characters, highlighting her determination to find a way around Ichi's fate or die trying. I see how the contract could have Ichi run around at Desscara's whims, I just don't think it's going to be anything significant as you guys seem to think it will be.

But hey, maybe your concerns are founded and I'm just being shortsighted, time will tell.
