Wouldn't that be all the more reason he would be glad to see Eta be adopted? He might care about him, and I'm sure he cares about all the kids in the orphanage as well, but that doesn't mean he's gonna want to see them be there forever. Also, Eta is about 14/15 tears old, which means that regardless of whether he gets adopted or not, in a couple years it's gonna be time for him to start moving on with his life either way, a family would simply add stability to that.

Also, it's got nothing to do with fairness, but about what's best for the kid in this situation.

Really enjoying this. So far, the focus seems to me to be more about the MC's growth as a character and coming to accept himself, with some intriguing interpersonal relationships along the way. His interactions with goat are actually pretty funny as well, since it calls him out every time he says or does something cringe too, which is at least once a chapter lol.

Just me thinking out loud here, but with the focus on family this chapter, I wonder if this lady he's saving might become a more important character later on due to this incident. He lives in an orphanage and clearly feels lonely, what if she finds out more about him and this lady winds up adopting him after some emotional build up or some such? I can clearly picture the gradual build up to that conclusion over some 10 to 20 chapters.

As a whole, not too much, but in the very beginning he went on a murdering spree of seemingly random people, so that is gonna be at the forefront of any new readers mind.

Author prob did this to give Lacrima character growth to officially join the MC's group.

God man, the pacing really needs some work. I can see the vibe the author is going for, and it's great, but the pacing just makes it feel so unpolished.

This kinda got a similar vibe to chainsaw man. Deserves better translations, and needs to work on it's pacing just a bit, but otherwise I'm seeing some massive potential here.

Don't blame the author too much guys, it clearly got axxed. A shame too, with how unique this was. At least it had a happy ending.

I can understand why people are okay with this having been axed, but I would have liked it to have gone on for at least another 20 chapters or so to build up to the ending we were given. It feels like there was a lot of opportunity for character growth that was just glossed over in the end. Still, I'm glad the MC set his mind towards becoming more mature and self assured, good on him.
