Yeah. I understand why people would want such a politician dead. I also understand why it could backfire hard if he's made into a martyr. I think exposing his behavior would have been enough.

You might be wondering. Why would an 18 year old be mentioned as a minor? Why would an 18 year old spark debate about minors online? Well. Let me explain. As far as I know, 18 is still underage in Japan. If I remember well, the age of majority is 20. Could be mistaken though.

Additional fun fact. Did you know the legal drinking age in most of the United States is not 18, but actually above 18? Yes. You can legally get sent to a war before you can legally drink.

1. Yes. Tourists, specifically English speaking ones, are awful to the Japanese. And not just to them. I'm Mexican. I worked at a museum. The worst tourists were all English and German speaking. They just didn't respect the items on display at all. Literally touched them despite a very obvious "Don't touch" sign on them.
2. Japan in general perceives foreign activists as a nuisance at best, and ill intentioned at worst.
3. In recent years foreigners have behaved notably worse in Japan. Take as example the Logan Paul and Johnny Somali cases.

In summary. Many in Japan have a not entirely unwarranted negative opinion on foreigners.
