@yilo.... simplified, MC knows he has the capability to be 5 realms ahead, and already possesses the hardest part of advancement which is knowledge and experience.

You have to think of their capabilities. Other than MC who touches dust and it turning to gold, a rank 1 alchemist has the ability to progress martial warrior to the next level which puts them above the fighters by a half step because without an alchemist it becomes hard for a COUNTRY to grow and nurture talents. MC's country is an example of how a rank 3 alchemist was able to foster 5-6 martial kings. Remember talent also plays a part in ability to grow and its a small country where its encouraged to stomp out rivals and with no clans to really nurture anyone who isn't in the military it becomes hard for talents to live. Ie that kid with poison heaven and earth body almost died due to unique physiques not being looked for
