• pick a goal
• create events that go towards that goal
How to create fights
1 Longer flashy
2 keep it shorter but POP
3 completely overpower
4 mc loses but keep life following 1-3 through plot armor (or they aren't real antagonists)

In this day and age when you say generic, its not a good criticism. There are 1000s of manga, so its impossible to not touch base on generic ploys. Like the fights, there is only 1-4 as an option, without plot armor you can only pick 1 or 2 on MC's power. CONGRATULATIONS you've just entered the generic criteria. To write something truly original it would take way too long to the point where when it was published, at least 3 original ideas you had would have made it in someone else's work. And if received well, would have been repeated 10 more times.

i was reading a romance tag with an action type title grinning while watching people despairing at the lack of action. It was a piece of hot garbage that didn't make sense for character type so i dropped it, but it was still fun to read comments

What you want is not ability but techniques. The only problem is if he showed that he was both, something currently known as impossible, the government would imprison him in a blacksite to do tests on him, dissect him, or force him to make babies for the nation (like the purebloods but worse since he's the only one). This isn't to mention how this would give a greenlight to more lab tests on shapeshifter immortal hybrids to create a new breed since he would have become the precedent. Btw governments wouldn't care about the willingness of females, and the males would do it bc of their patriotic duty.

cqc is said to be a shapeshifter strongpoint. This is because of their overwhelming strength mixed with their battle-sense. This is the sole reason why he performs well. Although you'd be right to say his techniques used are all immortal techniques, but the reason he picks them up so fast is shapeshifter's intuition. Could he learn them eventually, yes, but months and years down the road. Plus no one has taught him. Every technique learned was through observation and intuition, which is shapeshifter battle-sense whereas the ability to use it is immortal.

His tools require strength and stamina, which even 1 of them would be too much for an immortal. You're only comparing Hwarim's #1 fighter with a 6month entrant rookie, and a father who might be a secretly trained gov agent due to lack of access on his info, dads knowledge of Hwarim, and high tier skills.

Moms training was to counter bloodline deficiencies, punishment, and increase strength. Just basics.

Change senses is different from enhancing and projecting. Change would be mc flexing muscles to lower sound, projecting would be the sense deception he uses, enhancing would be the ability to heighten senses. Immortals spend their life dulling their senses, not decreasing it through will alone.

Thus his accomplishments are solely because he uses his shapeshifter abilities to have explosive strength, excellent application of immortal techniques, and excellent ability to comprehend techniques shown.

Setting:
Shapeshifters are targets to immortals due to their threat
Immortals work for the government
Offspring of a shape-shifter and immortal is thought to be impossible.
Revealing both is a good way to procure a 1-way-ticket to a black site lab OR become human breeding machine to weaponizing his genes

what do you mean. His traits fly all over the place. His exceptional strength, his ability to close quarters combat, his ability to change his senses, his intuition for fighting. These are all characteristics of shape shifting.
Immortals have regeneration, heightened senses, and the projection of senses (including projecting an absence of being)

So far for the shapeshifting we've heard of criminal groups, Moms training, the family business connection, her friend alluded to a shapeshifter security company that works like a private contractor. There is even a setup for future cooperation of both Hwarim and Security company exposing MC causing mom to find out he's also Immortal

So what I'm picking up is his best position is a mid-range gunner
shotguns are easy to avoid
A charge resulting in melee may become advantageous to him but it gives himself options to keep distance
Guns are hard to hurt him

The execution of the novel is horrible. It pointlessly inserts a character into the story and fails to allow their role. The would be like putting a romance character into a dungeon crawler and never giving them skills to combat enemies, just fighting through the power of love

I didn't really expect action from the tags, but this whole novel feels forced, so it's coming out bad.
Why bring an absudly strong character into romance? Why not just nerf her?
Whats the point of her contractors other than comic relief?
Why bring the tower back to do missions on love when it could be received via messages

As it stands the plot of a princess not wanting to be a villain is ok, but by adding in someone who doesn't fit the novel is about as stupid as inviting the fat kid to your birthday party. He's just gonna eat all your cake

Basically they read the title and not the tags and expected a korean action manhwa instead of the romance it is

F/ML - often significant other of MC, but given the same amount of spotlight as MC
Support - characters whose role is to help the MC progress (hero's party) (may leave mc via death or will)
Antagonist - people who get in the way of MC goal

He can always find a new fixer, but he's proven his magic and tracking abilities which are rare

Me: Laughing my ass off

MC: I'll just rob criminals, that shouldn't cause any issues

if you're like <Advocate Paradox> you won't understand, but this chapter low-key confirmed these workers were slaves and were beaten regularly.
1) boss likes to beat people
2) they all live in house
3) exits are sealed with a code
4) a gun was found in the managers office
5) corp guy was talking about giving minimal rights in a dissatisfied tone as if he wanted them to have no rights
6) the building boss said to get rid of him (kill) before corp comes

The guys he killed were
• 1 guard who wouldn't let him out
• 1 manager who beat him daily and ordered his death
• 1 gatekeeper who was going to lock him inside to be beaten or killed

None of the guys who manage this facility deserve candy

you'd think mana addiction would mean he has to maintain a higher level of mana in his body, not be addicted to drugs. (some novels, as they approach 0mp show light-headedness, dizziness, fatigue, or unconsciousness)
