Absolute Cinema

Despite the cliffhanger at the end, this chapter is beautiful. I think this is where Kaneki realizes how much he is loved.
Kaneki spent a lot of the story wanting a place to belong, terrified of ending up alone again, and wanting to be needed. He wakes up surrounded by friends and family, people who cherish him both ghoul and human, and he finds out not only is Hide alive, but he has done so much for his best friend. It gets me every time

Oh okay. I think for some reason when I first started reading it, I was under the impression that it wasn't gonna be a harem harem and they were gonna work together to save the kingdom through the bonds of friendship formed through their forced marriages and the MC was gonna be loyal to his childhood friend. Mainly cause one was a younger sister figure, one a robot, and one I thought was a lesbian lol

That's what I mean, they're so much more supportive of her. They explain things to her rather than just shut her down like Riftan does.
They treat her with respect and dignity. Whereas Riftan does not, he does not acknowledge any of her strengths or accomplishments.
