Yep the character is ridiculous and contradictory

Man that's why I always read the final chapter comments, if the ending is rushed or unsatisfying, I'll save my time and read something else

He's really dumb in this regard, and just trying to be edgy

He's not special, there are plenty that have killed without a reason. In fact his meticulous planning means his murders are all premeditated and makes it quite the opposite of "killing without a motive"
