It started off with 'oh i guess i can use magic... quiet well' 'oh now i have an oportunity to LEARN magic'
'let's explore the science behind magic, let's do tricks' 'I JUST DISCOVERED A NEW WAY TO USE MAGIC'
Then went downhill into 'random evil person tries to fucking kill entire school for seemingly no reason' 'gets defeated, his underlings are suddenly ok' '???' 'journey ark' 'random thugs get shown off' 'exploring dungeon with people who look down on main characters' 'random thugs be more evil, and barely get punished by mcs' 'random terrorist plot to kindnap innocent child to lure mc who head of terorist organisation already had contact with, with absolutely zero tangeble reason or end goal outside being observably evil'
If it had any, it lost it at the school, you could consider the school terrorism ark was a fluke, and it went back on track with the jurney, but it went right back into illogic.
The author doesn't know what to do with the story, clearly.

Since when are spells identifiable ? since when do they have names? since when are their names popular/known outside of the person inventing them ? Since when did they stop speculating 'is he using magic to do that?' ?

Irl, about 3 years. in story between 3 months and 1 year at most. I think closer to 4-5 months then a full year.

There's also a posiblity the author is aiming to end the story by chapter 100 or close. Many (who bother to not drag the story on forever like a certain manga....... do stuff like this)

no. it's infinity more dumb when you realize radar is ALSO light, NOT sound. Radio (and thus radar) is on the electromagnetic spectrum along with light, radiation, etc. Sound (and sonar) is just objects, air and water vibrating.

It's neither possible, nor logical lore-wise. Magic there's supposed to be scientific.... nothing scientific is going on. We should have been able to comprehend what's going on if it was. In the first season, everything somewhat made sense.

This is such a fucking nosedive in quality, it's unreal. It's almost a typical shonen. Only the art remained top-notch.

-light being faster then sound is irrelevant somehow

-she can dodge light
it hurts to think about how horrible this arc is....
Also, btw, how is 'radar' sound magic ? radar and radio are closer to light then sound... because light and radio are both part of the electromagnetic spectrum. Sound isn't.
She's literally using both sound and light magic and nobody's batting an aye....

The beginning is fantastic, but as it progresses it moves on from being what amounts to scientifically based magic, to... normal magic, and ham-fisted moral dilemmas worse then most shonens

We get a villain near the start of 'season 2' which......... doesn't really have a motive. Really, literally. Some misfortune happens to him, and he for no reason choses to disproportionally respond by becoming hitler-doing-a-holocaust level of evil on............ really a guy who ALSO fell into that exact misfortune he was involved with. tl;dr he wants to make the ENTIRE SCHOOL walk off a clif..... for no reason. AND was somehow able to mind control the entire school, except for MC and 2-3 people. AND he has 2 followers the same age as MC, who have NO REASON to be as evil as the bad guy BESIDES being grateful to him. AND after being defeated, the 2 also evil people are just...... somewhat forgiven ? and have a change of heart, but not really, because they weren't evil, and were just doing evil things...... out of gratefulness...
Then later, we get a big evil woman, again doing evil things and targeting MC in order to....... we literally don't know. I mean that. We're in a 10-20 chapter ark, and this woman is obsessed with MC and we have 0 reason as to why, besides they were both orphans but she shouldn't have known that, and why would that matter if she did ?
There are also guns in this universe, which we're given 0 explanation of what they do.....
To put it simply: it's sleep inducing, and the villains are evil for the sake of being evil but magically all have tragic backstories that offer no justification for them being evil, that's only there for sympathy points an when they're defeated we're supposed to feel pity for them and they're turn good. Season 1, about until the end was a 10/10 read.

So to recap, nothing happened and she said what amounts to nothing, we pan to 'literally who ?' gun guy, who now has TWO guns which we know 0 about what they do in this world, then to big weakling boss who should be dead now being magically strong, then back to 'big sis' who.......... oh wow, she uses sound magic.... cool.....
I'm getting so fucking bored, man.....
What's the point of all this ? Just for the evil people to be evil, that's what. Then later, they'll have a change of heart like the previous 2 with the school incident which we already stopped caring about.

The problem is that it's a fantasy world with magic. So the obvious question is, what does the gun do in relation to magic? Because if it's literally just a gun, with this world's magic, then lol. lmao even. The only thing it does, if that's the case, is give insignificant people the ability to pottentially tickle magicians and swordsmen

>we get his backstory for which we care too little about because he'll inevitably be forgotten in 10 chapters, and it's boring anyway.
>main characters produce filler for literally 1/2 of the chapter
>3/4 main characters *walk* or *teleport* to destination
>even MORE filler exposition due to previous weakling leader who we have no idea why he's still alive
>mc meets woman
>"let's continue our conversation" - something that could have simply be done in chapter 112/113. In 125 she even says "Bring me Shirone" WHILE SHE LITERALLY JUST HAD HIM.
