I think that's a pretty good theory, however I have a different head canon and would like to know your thoughts on it. What I think happens is that originally, Yvonne (the actual villainess) actually wins and is able to "descend" as a god. While I don't think she actually became a god, I would like to think that she would be able to manipulate larger or more complicated things to truly descend, as she obviously wants, as a true god of what I presume to be death. Anyway, because of her newfound power I would like to think that using the lives of everyone in her timeline, she creates the game that the people of earth play, leading to more sacrifices for her growing power in a repeating cycle of time in which to obtain the best result for herself. Now that I think about it, this could go really well with your own head canon, as maybe, during one of these timelines or the original one, Penelope is able to survive and learns "demonic energy" to try to seek revenge through someone else in a different time because she already failed?? Do you think this is plausible?

I think in the beginning, Derrick just rather disliked her, while Reynold genuinely hated her, because remember, at the start their individual favorability's were 0% and -10% meaning that if they actually did have a secret crush, their favorability would be higher, even if their actions didn't reflect it.
