Vinched made it wee bitter for me, that situation with totally cornered Sereta, without one arm in pathetic pose and his "Carmen, you are only one on the land she can rely on", and all what happened later...

Maybe he is quite shrewd bastard and can focus on some different aspect to get different outcome, in other words, maybe she really hasn't said him about literally ANYTHING regarding that situation (like that she visited Vinchen for example) and he could say what he say and be in truth, just talking about something different than context imply ^^'
Generally I'm not sure if he really ever lied, usually it's enough to watch your tongue to not say too much (also he is the oldest? son of his mother, he's experienced in that bullshit way of thinking), tho I read all of this stoned, so I'm not sure ;p

They could easily cook him on interogation, but as long as he has initiative and is shrewd, he should be fine ;o
