Germany here and as much as i am informed (i am only a student) there are a few options for families, for example taking a year break from work to take care of the child, sending the child to a crib which you have to pay for but isnt that much. Fathers also can take a break for around 1 month at the start of.. the child.?
Yeah and kindergarten is free, takes children from 3 to 6 and sometimes 7 and starts at 7am with early shifts and some end at 4pm.
So i think germany is a pretty good country for raising a child and still managing their work-life-balance, especially for mothers.
