You know, thinking about it—as an otome game, probably made by men—the structures are probably presented through what the developers only know. This is doing a lot of legwork that the mangaka should have done to legitimize the absurdity of the matriarchal setting, but I can see the falseness of a otome game that just... sucks? Worldbuilding-wise? A mecha beat'em up studio suddenly switching gears and trying an otome game for the first time? That'd scan as devs and writers not knowing wtf they're doing.

So, there's something to be said about using the slave's mark as a means to "motivate" your chattel soldiers. One strong-minded commander and a battalion of slave-soldiers, you could hold a pass for a while

Ugh. Killing them would have saved the world. You can get therapy later when the world isn't ended.

I've grown as a person since reading this last. Now, I'd demand their deaths, not for merely for my satisfaction but to know that the queen was serious. And if they refused, I would leave the country to burn. They would have on the count to five, and if they hesitated even a second afterward, I would still leave. Two people over the safety of your nation? Not very serious, queen.

Nah, fam, I'm with Naofumi on this one. She's literally only been whatever child level she's been at for so long. She's a child in a woman's body. This is like Little Darlings and it's hella weird

I can't reply to Looleekon, anymore, but I wanna say to anyone who wonders the same thing (since I've been married to my high school sweetheart for 16 years, for a grand total of 20 years with dating):

It depends on the girl.

Usually, though, dependability and actually thinking about her or other people earns you a lot of points with someone who's looking for a more long-term partner. Take my wife for instance; our relationship is very close to Anjou-san and Sato-san's—that's why I read these gyaru/nerd stories, it reminds me of our young relationship. When I was 16, I saw an outgoing girl that was so active to the point of ADHD stereotyping (turns out she's auDHD, lol) and I was the cloistered nerd who didn't know a damn thing about girls or dating. All I knew was how to study really, really well. She teased me like this, always toyed with me and always barraged me with questions about why I liked her with that sly, cute, sexy smile of her's.

She wanted someone who understood her, and while I was from a family that was much better off, it turns out it didn't take a lot to listen and understand why she was so angry and sad all the time. I was someone who could be that for her, and not only was I that for her, but for my friends, too. And I took people's interests and even their well-being to heart.

In our time together, we've been each other's rock listening to one another's worries and troubles. We've also saved each other from danger or doom; recently kept my wife from getting beaten by cops and arrested. I didn't chicken out, I didn't hesitate, charging into the fray without a second thought livid that this pig would touch my fucking soulmate. That did a lot to reinforce her trust in me. I mean, why wouldn't I?

She's my world.

Brother, it's established: she likes it when you see her bra and would probably, legitimately show you her panties if you asked. Telling her about a see-through shirt isn't going to stop her. "If it's you, it's fine~" sorta mentality.

Fellas, I'm having a hard time believing those who are clearly discharged from the SK military would freeze up like that. I was only in the USN, but the amount of training we had made me spring into action the moment my Captain tricked the whole ship into thinking we were in a real General Quarters event. I even got a concussion running to my repair locker and still battened down the hatch I was assigned to in all of 40 seconds, from when I bolted out of my chair in the forecastle to the hatch down a level and in the forward mess. Collectively, the ship entered Circle William in less than a minute. Other situations have come up where me and other trained people were able to do our jobs without freezing or faltering.

Why are all of these post-service MCs locking up when they know they're in danger, despite being confused and discombobulated?
