If you have "absolute control over ice", not sure what that actually means but surely it would inherently include control over the direction of glaciers. Even if you just woke up, you would feel the metal around your hands and feet, you would be laying on part of it even. Then you try to move and you feel the metal pushing into your skin at specific points and you hear the jangle of chains. A momentary glance down and you can see the chains.

Like why you are chained up is a good question, but it is weird to not know you are chained up, even if you just woke up.
