I think that wouldn't be the big picture. He wanted to break the cycle of the 10 days so that he can prevent it from happening.
There are two timelines here. The Silver Lily Apocalypse Loop of 10 Days where she is a consultation trapped in an apocalypse that she was cursed with. And the Pre-Apocalypse timeline where Gongja is trying to slip into.
Simply dying resets him back 24 hours but dying as the Bulter resets the Butler back 24 hours. This means since they just returned to the first day, they are using the butler to swoosh back in time outside the loop, potentially breaking it.
How Gongja will act after that is beyond me. There are two ways I see...— He gets back without the synchronization, like being fully himself, this means he's officially in a different reality where he can prevent things from happening but it may affect Silver Lily that may not remember him. The way out of this is that once he prevents the apocalypse, the story gets to be incorporated in the tower as a new floor and potentially leads to Silver Lily remembering him.— he gets back with full sync as the butler but that would be pointless since. How this may play out is beyond me.

I feel like a it's a different timeline altogether

Plot twist, the son has found a way to get way stronger maybe using demonic arts but Airen wins and Carl dies at the end
