Story takes too much time on irrelevant characters that will disappear forever after this arc. There were many interesting characters from the start but they don't get any panels instead new are introduced and that's confusing and frustrating. Story is lacking focus. And the thing that makes it all even worse: ~20 panels a month.

Sorry kid this isn't your novel it's manga. Story was dark from the start and you expect me to water down my expectations? For what reason I ask!? And I've already read what you mention ages ago, to me berserk ended with death of Kentaro.

Main story fallen like rotten tree. From epic dark fantasy to some stupid goofy happy go lucky teehee girls adventure. I don't think main story can be saved it was probably soften down to go mainstream. But anything that goes mainstream sooner or later become slave to irrational ppl with idea like "our editor didn't like that rape panel change it to love story with sugar and honey"
