According to google normal tadpoles take 6-21 days to hatch, and 14 weeks to become a frog. So about 17 weeks top for the "real world" versions.
So that would be around 4 times as quick as it takes a pineapple to grow (Assuming that the change in speed of growth of both the pineapple and frogs from the real world to the tower is at the same rate)

Yeah at most they eat stems and leaves of plants, and algae. Mostly focus on the insects around plants though.

I honestly thought he would plant green onions again... But It is fantasy world and they are large frogs (some frogs eat small fish, so that part makes sense)...
