I know that the plot needs her to fall for it to progess the way the author intended. But it doesn't make sense her character do a 180 on a authors whim. There is no underlying fault to be exploited just the fact that "she lost people" now she is evil. And become the same type of creature that killed her precious friends. The protagonist is "unique" not by being Overpowered or bringing some modern knowledge for the word she lives in. The main plot is lowkey good, the characters feel alive and the author is truly unapologetic about jot giving anyone plot armor. The story is dark as one would think a ww1 novel to be, it has showed the hell that is a war of attrition that grinds 2 countries to their bones with the "child soldier Mc". It's a good read. It has humor, touchy subjects and really good writing. The MC is generally a good person that closed himself way too much. His lack of emotions is written in a Good way and a real way your brain process trauma. kinda fun to watch him unintentionally take steps to get better hope to see more of these :)
