Dog shit manga. I wanted to drop this already during the 4th chapter but I dumped it at the beginning of the 5th, because I was skimming and some random bullshit struck a nerve.

Why did I hate this?
The entire setting is ridiculously implausible and it's boring on top. People were calling this an inferior Squid Game... I wonder if they were 12 year olds?

I enjoyed it for what it was, but it felt rushed and wasn't too memorable.

Before continuing, I have to point out two things:
1) Chapter 9.2 is missing, which kind of pissed me off.
2) This is supposed to be completed, yet the last chapter announces a 2nd volume.

So what's it all about?
Basically, we all know that a shit job can literally ruin our lives. Most jobs are shit - it's either because of the work itself, the boss/es, the hours, the colleagues, it just being a poor fit or a combination of these. The ML has that kind of detestable job and his relationship with his wife dies because of it.
There's a life lesson here for those who can see it: do not let your shitty job ruin your personal life!

I just saw the "twist" coming a mile off, actually laughed at the dungeon and couldn't understand the hype. The film was a bit of a feast for the eyes though! Cinema seemed to die around that time; even the rerelease was a cuss to the original filmographer's talent, making everything brighter digital-looking.

Generic and under par.

I read 19 chapters of this completely uninspiring attempt at an action-fantasy, but there was nothing to hold my interest and I dropped it to seek out better stuff to read.

I thought it was obvious (but there do seem to be novel readers here, on this site, eager to drop spoiler bombs just to flex having read the plain text versions).

I went up to see what that book I bought was, but I don't know where the other half put it!
She's an avid reader (she's never even opened a comic though), so it's possible whe even took it with her while she's out of town.

Fight Club just never did it for me.

I think the last book Imread was, Ball Lightning, by the Chinese dude who did the, Three Body Problem trilogy (the second one is excellent, but they're way over-rated as a whole). I never did read, Fight Club - no matter how popular it was for about 10-15 years after the film came out... and I was probably the only person I knew who didn't like the film.

I actually have a paperback thriller I bought late last year for a flight, upstairs, untouched. I fell asleep as soon as I got in the seat and all this talk about books just made me remember it!
