Reading that chapter literally hurt my eyes!
According to mangaupdates (https://www.mangaupdates.com/series/97dl87y/niwatori-fighter), this is on-going in Japan, and has 7 volumes released, but nowhere near that many have been translated. I'm wondering whether to start it anyway...
A solid, wholesome romance, worthy of your time.
A boy who has it all tries to woo an emotionally dense girl, who only wants to study and get a good job, so she can take even better care of the most important person in her life: her mother.
Fast forward 10 years of chasing, of growing up beside one another, of him too afraid to spell things out and her completely clueless that he could possibly think of her as ever being more than a friend, and we have a university-set, almost slice of life rom-com, that should be quite brilliant.
Sadly, I found myself frustrated often at the leads, bemused as to why not one single member of the supporting cast would give either lead a good talking to, and felt that the numerous little "extras" broke up the story, instead of adding to it.
Otherwise, this would've been a much bigger hit for me.
P.S. the translation for the first few chapters is A.I. quality (i.e. garbage), but thankfully, it switches to proper English soon enough, so don't drop it!
But, yeah, I always imagined they were more aimed towards 10 year old girls.
Well, it would've been too extreme to be true but, Seriously: what were those dumb panels last chapter?
SPLAT!

Sayonara, kujõ.
Well, I don't think anyone saw that coming.
Really inappropriate, I know, but funny.
Damn, even in comics... women!
Sõma, my dude, I get it: you knew it was hopeless too but had to get it off your chest so you don't go to the grave with regret... but now you're free to move on... and Tachibana - realising how sh*t superficiality is, is starting to look like a great catch!
So what: a girl isn't allowed to be attracted to a boy and take the opportunity when it arises? She's checking the water to not hurt anybody before acting... or maybe it's because he's rich, you all assume she's a money-grabber?
No, seriously, the village boy needs to get over his inferiority complex (cities are shit anyway).
@bot, remind me to read this when I have tabs open (this is a joke).
If you like romances aimed at young adults, you'll like this.
I did enjoy this - it's not the greatest example of the genre but it's definitely worth your time if you're into this kind of thing... but there were a few faults (cough, tranny), the humour didn't often hit the mark for me (but was hilarious when it did) and the sheer innocence throughout makes the whole thing adorable, but... I don't know, it just wasn't on par with, say, Highschool Debut (which, fair enough, I pretty much loved).
It probably also lost half a mark for the tranny not turning straight when he realised he was a dude (I won't ruin the chapter).
Oh, and there isn't a spoiler in the description - a comment that turned me off reading this for 6 months!
The "spoiler" pertains to a one-off story tossed in at random, that has absolutely nothing to do with the cast or story (I mean: it's a ghost, FFS).
You could also make some excellent memes from FL's expressions. Here's one - feel free to use it:

"Almost" because I already wish that!
Yep, the west is a shit hole - this should be labelled as fantasy instead of slice of life... and what a lovely fantasy life this would be (I'm sure it made many adult readers want to be young again)!
