There was an isekai manga I read where the skill (can't remember if it was called atmosphere control or air control or smth) was considered a 'miss' until mc showed up with it to explain the concept of other gasses being in the air also being controllable and proceeded to explode a landslide to everyone's shock.
He then commissioned a gun that further focussed the power, but that's as far as it got in the tl before it was dropped and forgotten.
