The trick to Triple Triad (the card game) is not to go around challenging indiscriminately. There's this walkthrough I found that showed you how to make the optimal set of rules that work for you. It's a ballache to get it there, but when done correctly, you don't have to worry about SAME, PLUS, WALL, COMBO, ELEMENT etc if done properly. And you get all their cards when you win.
