Knights, or warriors in general, can belong to holy orders in this world, it's seen all over ancient cultures from the old world to the new, so could that guy be some kind of priest too??? Guess we'll find out.

Remember when niceness had actual value, not even just civility, but being nice meant that you were doing well... that it didn't matter what or how much you had, but how you dealt with life and that even when you were without you could still be nice to those around you. That used to be considered a kind of strength. Really it did, watch some black and white movies if you don't believe me.
