I was annoyed by this outcome until the page where you realize He Knows but is trying to avoid it.
That's at least decently spicy.

I really enjoyed this one! The setup is especially well done, where they lay the groundwork that this isn't a complete miracle 180, but placing a few key differences to change the outcome. Very nice!

While she's playing up the terror and creepiness it's feeling a lot more like the imposter is the one trapped in a corner now. She doesn't have the fragment, knows nothing about who Penelope is, and the more time passes the more likely it is Penelope gets in touch with someone who will believe her over "Yvonne". Drawing her to a meeting and rooting through her things is a massive step down from all the magic, poisons and schemes from before.

You know, even when there's really no need for it in the vacuum of space where aerodynamics are irrelevant and blah blah blah.
A ship with that silhouette is still the best to me.

Between this, the other school, and the actors, I kind of love how it keeps slipping in "This kind of shit happens all the time in this world." Seemingly nobody has their heads on straight when it comes to love.

I am 100% down for a Salon that makes more Rose of Versailles Oscars.

As much a monster as Raul has become I have to hope there's some light at the end of the tunnel for him, especially if it means Theodora gets a happy end.

If nothing else, for the rest of the worlds sake.

I think they were replying to the same person you had been, but that person deleted all their comments after it turned out people don't react well to bigots.

Sometimes these stories go a bit too hard on the heroine and love interest who, yes get riled up, but often do genuinely just love each other and want to be together in spite of the complications the story gives them for it. I quite liked that even while being deeply pissed off about the prince refusing to treat someone who loved him honestly and fairly the demon still "punishes" them by giving them exactly what they wanted. Villager A & B are perfectly free to go live in happiness and love together without being stuck by their roles.

In many stories those words could pass by without a second thought, but here they'll always have a twinge of regret and foreboding.

Exactly! OD from Gatchaman Crowds or the engineer from Gurren Lagann whose name regretfully escapes me are a bit more subdued but still wonderful examples.

This is my personal preference speaking but part of why I grew attached to anime was that effeminate behaving men are often given a lot of good characterization even if they are a joke. Some of the honest to God coolest, noblest people in their stories.

Given the tone of the story and the series as a whole I think that's perfectly valid. The talk between two girls about true love winning out, where one is clearly interested in the other, definitely felt like it was leaning that way for me too.

No, it's a reference to the sitcom Happy Days, during a lull in one season where they weren't sure what to do with an episode they just had Fonzie, the most popular character, jump a literal shark on water skiis. So OP means they're worried the author has run out of interesting things for now and is going to fill time with nonsense until they can think of something else.

That's a lot of presumptions about who the hero is.
Gonna be funny when they get slapped by an entire family.
