As I said, the setup was not like an interview, we were dining and drinking while betting in a horse race, so I kept it to the minimum when there were chances to put the discussion on the table. I know his girlfriend, where he lives (but of course I won't tell 😏), and that he is doing boxing himself. About Tsuyoshi, it was fun to see that he looked a bit like Tsuyoshi during his Roppongi time! 🤣 I joked to him on this matter, he says he uses a lot of his surroundings for material to the manga. But he doesn't want to say much about the story development, I just know that making Tsuyoshi happy in love now would not making the story development interesting.

It's not gonna be better for him anytime soon yet.

I live in Japan so I buy all my manga in Japanese but mostly read here (like I got the full collection of KINGDOM but never opened one). I usually buy the good stuff I read, like I keep buying Solo Leveling published in Japanese despite having read everything here already. Only those nobe available here I'm not buying. So yes, I got the Tsuyoshi paper version (I may ask for a signature).

I don't know if it has an English publisher, I believe there's no French publisher so I plan to ask about the situation. :)

I'm gonna meet the author of this manga on July 18th, he's my friend's friend. If you got any interesting question you wanna ask, let me know! Don't know much how much we could talk about his manga though, as we're gonna mainly drink and eat while watching horse race! 🤣

Ganryū-jima is best known as the site of the duel between two of Japan's most famous swordsmen:

Miyamoto Musashi (宮本武蔵), a master of the two-sword style (Niten Ichi-ryū).

Sasaki Kojirō (佐々木小次郎), known for his deadly technique called Tsubame Gaeshi (Swallow Reversal).


The duel took place on April 13, 1612. Musashi arrived late, reportedly to unnerve his opponent, and used a wooden sword carved from an oar to defeat Kojirō. The fight ended with Musashi's victory, further cementing his legendary status in Japanese martial arts history.
