The sea is big AF and if Elmire were to put most of their resources into protecting the islands then the Elmire's forces wouldn't even know that their homeland is getting attacked. Chapter 89 She meets Arsen from Edenverre and he warns Alisa/Aisha "when the time comes, send troops to the outer seas, not to the Eastern Islands in the Eastern Sea. Be on your guard" "Edenverre is preparing to build a gate there and launch a surprise attack on the empire"

Later on in the same chapter it is shown that her father received a report from Alisa/Aisha and he mentions "she made it clear that we should bolster the troops in the Eastern Sea, not just our presence on the islands"

Chapter 90 is used to confirm that Edenverre is planning to use a large portal on an artificial island with a cloaking spell to perform a covert attack. Without the warning Elmire would be focusing on putting troops/resources mainly on the islands. Arsen says some sketchy things in this chapter saying "we successfully enticed Elmire using Rioten" but this just goes along with his original plan before he met Alisa/Aisha. When Arsen says "It appears there's divine intervention for the first time." and "I'll have to move at a faster pace from now on" I believe it has to do with the destruction of Edenverre. He's still salty they killed Alisa while he was away and wants to see the destruction of his own empire.

This isn't about your subjective opinion on what you consider a "mid story" is. This is about whether the Harry Potter universe has "deep lore" which it objectively does have. The Harry Potter universe is huge with tons of details on every level.

The Harry Potter universe is huge I don't understand why you feel the need to put it down just because I put it in an example alongside LOTR. There's a whole magical society with spells, potions, monsters, and wands all meticulously cataloged. There's whole maps, unique currency, technology, history, societal structure, etc. Like I said before you are dead wrong. Just because you may enjoy LOTR more it doesn't invalidate all the work that has been put into the Harry Potter universe.
