    good job you made a time loop. without the summoning spell Takumi wouldn't have been dragged here, but if Takumi wasnt dragged here they wouldn't have used the summoning spell. good ol catch 22.

        nope, if you read the first chapter, they were already being summoned 4 people to be exact, Takumi was supposed to be 1 of the 4 that got summoned but the Goddess interfered with the summoning
        which summons Takumi to her side instead, her goal is for Takumi to guide and make little changes to the world, she put Takumi in an earlier time so that he could get started much earlier than the other summon people

          yes, but now we're learning that they're summoning people because of Takuimis actions. meaning if Takumi wasn't there they wouldn't have summoned him and the others in the first place. its a causal loop, sorta like becoming your own grandfather.

            ??? THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO BE SUMMONED ANYWAYS [IT'S A CANON EVENT] EVEN IF TAKUMI WASN'T THERE FIRST THEY WERE ALREADY BEING SUMMONED it just looked that way because the Goddess sent Takumi first

              yes, they were summoned because Takumi interfered, but Takumi only interfered because they were summoned. go look up what a casual loop is. time travel is weird and this is one of the simpler paradoxes that can come from it.

        so whats happening? are they really gonna summon people to hunt MC down? whats gonna be the excuse for that to happen? calling him a demon or something despite all the evidence that says hes just a dude? are they gonna call him a heretic just because of a toilet? i really want to see if how they'll pull that off.

          Church doesn't want their monopoly on light magic and all its monetarily chargeable uses taken away from them, so they do what every greedy-capitalistic organization with a market monopoly does: getting rid of competition with all means available. Considering the whole "light magic is gods power, so only ppl authorized by the church can use it and anyone who does it without our permission is a demon, sinner, heretic, etc that goes against God and humanity" that they propagate, I'm actually surprised that they haven't yet just declared the whole country that MC resides in as heretics for hiding MC...

              he cannot afford to be too far or get killed so he can't doing anything too crazy dangerous as he is literally the only person keeping them all alive
              kidnapping the princess wouldn't work due to having the other prince factions just get rid of her.
              threatening wouldn't work either as he would literally just become a demon king and everyone would be forced to kill him.
              you also have the issue of what if there is no way back and or what if the assume way to go back is to get killed in a ritual or just killed.
