User-1953152843He is stoic because he knows either he dies early or 50-90% of the people he's conversing with also die early. He's just not getting attached until he's confident they will live.
Kiazenny321I’ve been reading this since I was 7 years old in 2nd grade (2013) and now I’m in college and 19 as of March… He just takes an egregious amount of time to drop. Story still good though so It’s okay.
He was this powerful mage hero, called The Golden Eagle, who ultimately betrayed the people he was saving when he freed the monsters from their captors who were experimenting on them.
He soon taught those several monsters on a remote island.
Ultimately Washio returned, now a jaded old man, working as a professor. The kids treat him poorly because he's considered old. His fellow teachers treat him poorly due to his rank.
And the girls he taught, they became Monster Girls. How? Why? No clue, but the bulk of them are in love with him.
We also don't fully know why Washio quit and settled on being an E-Rank teacher, considering he's The Golden Eagle, but he promises to tell Claudia and by extension, us, another time.
Anyway, initially we have the jealous elf teacher Rimona-Sensei who graduated with Washio, upset that Washio is teaching Claudia and Aria, who since Monster Girls are considered rare and revered for their power and talent, he wants to sabotage Washio so he can have the girls in his class.
Now we have another guy, Julius-Sensei, who also aims to ruin Washio and take the other two girls away as well, It also seems he's done something to Draco since she's not immediately in love with Washio as the other two.
Next chapter has someone, likely Julius, who sent a letter to the PTA President, telling about Washio destroying and killing the staff of the 'monster protection facility' (the people who were experimenting on the monsters) kidnapping the monsters and brainwashing them, to which the PTA President demands Washio to be removed, but not only that but to get rid of Claudia and Aria.
Likely Julius caused Claudia to space out during the Alchemy class which caused the explosion (and it hurt some nobleman's daughter) and had Drako spread the rumors of Washio's past to the other students, which has led to Claudia and Aria lashing out.
So Julius-Sensei knows more about Washio than we think, while Rimona-Sensei is just a jealous guy who thinks he should be better and teach the monster girls due to him being an A Rank as opposed to Washio's E-Rank.
User-7821556942man i watched this when i was a kid, i'm in college now, i don't know if it's him who takes too much time to deliver new chapters, though the art style is good.
