Osamu Tezuka’s vaunted storytelling genius, consummate skill at visual expression, and warm humanity blossom fully in his epic of Siddhartha’s life and times. Tezuka evidences his profound grasp of the subject by contextualizing the Buddha’s ideas; the emphasis is on movement, action, emotion, and conflict as the prince Siddhartha runs away from home, travels across India, and questions Hindu practices such as ascetic self-mutilation and caste oppression. This manga follows the unfortunate life on an extraordinary swordsman - Inoko Gennosuke.
Gennosuke was born in a social group called 'buraku' that was considered to be the filth of society, and because of that he was forced to live a life of misery.

A four-part manga series depicting the events previous to the American movie Cloverfield (more info in the link). In the manga (more info in the link), a connection is implied between the human protagonist Kishin, his mother, and the creature.

Clannad is set in a high-school located in a Japanese town. Tomoya Okazaki is a third-year student who doesn't take his studies seriously. Always late for class, he's seen as a delinquent by the rest of his classmates who are busy preparing for their entrance examinations. Needless to say, he doesn't have too many close friends either.

Tomoya seems not to mind too--until he meets a few other girls from his school. Though he doesn't care much about them at first, he soon opens his heart to them as they get to know each other better.

Clannad is a romantic youth drama that's likely to be more down-to-earth than Key's other works. But like Kanon and Air, Clannad's story is expected to be another touching and heart-breaking weeper.

As soon as the charm goes off, the ground splits in half, swallowing the entire class and, when they wake up, they find themselves in an old school campus. Unable to find a way out, they wander the corridors, trying to figure out where they are. But it seems that the building isn’t as abandoned as they thought it was and, in fact, something evil is lurking in the shadows.

The story takes place in a circus in Paris in the 1970's. Much is made of the romance of the circus atmosphere, of flying through the air on a trapeze etc. We're talking about Old World riffs on the romance and tawdriness of the ring. There are no elephants in tutus walking on their hind legs in this circus; but there are slit-eyed jugglers, daring death-loving trapeze artists and sad Pierrot clowns; though the Pierrot clown - our hero, Torinosu (a.k.a 'Bird's Nest') does have a false red nose.

The tawdriness comes from the circus master pimping out his performers to anyone willing to pay. Decadence is strife throughout the tale - ghosts who wander into the action looking like teenage girls even though they're actually the hero's brother; abandoned neurotic women with a thing for inflicting pain; buracon and possible murder, not to mention mountains of unspoken pining and a hero who looks about to perish at any moment from terminal angst.
