It's about an OP Li Jing, who unknowingly marries the Empress of a kingdom after a series of events involving mistaken identity and fate. On the surface, the story might seem like a typical “man marries a powerful woman” trope, but it takes it a step further by turning everything upside down with humour and political intrigue.
Li Jing, though charming and clever, is hilariously unaware of his wife’s true identity. The Empress, remains a figure of immense power and mystery. As the plot progresses, the layers of their relationship start to unfold, with romance, political manoeuvring, and the occasional clash of egos.
The Empress herself is initially shrouded in mystery, her intelligence, strength, and grace shine through as the plot progresses. She’s not a typical “damsel in distress” as she’s often the one saving Li Jing from trouble, which adds a layer of dynamic strength to their relationship.
Supporting characters might feel a bit one-dimensional, but they still serve to move the plot forward and provide additional humour and conflict.

The tone is light-hearted and comedic, but there are moments of genuine drama and tension. The balance between the two is handled well, ensuring the story never becomes too heavy or too silly. The power dynamics between Li Jing and the Empress provide an interesting commentary on relationships, especially when roles are reversed, with the wife being the dominant figure in the marriage.

Comedy: The comedic timing is spot-on, especially in the early chapters when Li Jing has no idea who his wife really is.

PLOT 5/10 - It's not much of a plot, but by no means is it a bad plot, just nothing worth mentioning.
ROMANCE 9/10 - No unnecessary drama, only what you need pure romance of a (not normal) married couple. Also, it's not like one of them is really dominant and the other one is really shy, they're balanced and have really good chemistry
ACTION 7/10 - Again it's nothing worth mentioning, it's good but at the level for a lot of wuxia based stories.
COMEDY 8/10 - It's funny in good amounts, it'll keep you entertained along the whole way. Just a bit repetitive.
