Photography is the art to grasp beauty with the one and only tool, a camera. Ooji's dream is to become a photographer that photographs at the front lines of war, to take pictures of historical events taking place in front of his eyes. However, his childhood friend, Sumire, doesn't think that he is capable of becoming one.

In his photography club, Ooji shows his photos to the group, and his upperclassman, Ran, points out that Sumire is a good target to photograph. Ooji manages to get permission to take photos of Sumire, and during his shoot, Sumire notices that Ooji is acting differently than before. Later they find out that one of Ooji's pictures won an award! Sumire congratulates him, but Ooji sees beyond his award. He claims that he learned that he has much more potential than he thinks. Ran, overseeing this, plans to take Ooji to the next level so he can capture true beauty through the lens of a camera!

It's a story about a girl who lost her every memory. One stormy night, a sudden meeting changes her life forever. She starts anew while still trying to set the pieces of the puzzle that was once her life. Soon after, a love that puts everything on the line is born in the girl's heart.

The story revolves around Takumi Tsuzuki, a boy who lives with his older "sister" Otome, although the two have no blood ties between them. Otome manages a run-down confectionery store called Stray Cats. One day, Otome picks up a mysterious beautiful girl off the streets.

Hina moves back to her old home town only to find that the high school is run by two opposing factions, and students identify themselves based on the color of their school uniforms: Black for the followers of the ostentatious, violent Nishizaki, and white for the followers of the misanthropic, clean-freak Isshiki. And, as if it wasn't complicated enough, there are the "grays," who wear their own clothing, deciding to be their own people. Hina finds herself stuck between the leaders of the two factions, and it seems to be turning violent.
