Forty-five years ago, a strange mutation caused people within the futuristic city of Stern Bild to gain superpowers. These people came to be known as “NEXT (Noted Entities with eXtraordinary Talents).” While some used their powers for evil, others took up the title of hero and began working for sponsor companies and being broadcast on “Hero TV”.

Heroes rack up points for every valiant deed that they do -- but impulsive Kotetsu T. Kaburagi, a veteran hero known as “Wild Tiger,” is falling behind in the rankings. As a result, he’s forced to partner with the intellectual amateur Barnaby Brooks Jr., aka “Bunny”. With the clash in their personality and philosophies, will the unlikely duo be able to get some actual crime-fighting done…!?
