Young men and women were cryogenically frozen as part of the “7SEEDS Project” in order to prevent the destruction of mankind. They came together and safely escaped from the collapsing underground. After taking on such daring struggles, they are determined to survive in this world, and they have now begun working to build a new “life” on the island of Sado.

A young woman contemplates life in a world where the dead walk.

Fuji Zeze is going to Hakone with her friend Ritsuko to participate in the final auditions of a Japanese idol competition, but in the middle of the mountains, the bus flips over. Too impatient to wait for the search and rescue team, she and Ritsuko, along with three others Mikami Renji, Tsuburaya Hajime, and Kaji Shinju, try to find their way out on their own. But, they soon learn that things are not all what they seem...

After the death of a close friend, Tomoe, a former roller skater, joins a famous stunt men troupe, the Green Ship. The government, who had foreseen this outcome, took measures to counter the worst-case scenario. In particular was Project "7 SEEDS", in which five sets of seven gifted young men and women were carefully selected and placed into teams (Spring, Summer A, Summer B, Autumn and Winter). Each participant was then put under cryogenic sleep in hopes of preserving the continued existence of mankind.
When those men and women awoke, they found themselves suddenly thrust into a cruel world. While bereft and grieved over forever losing their loved ones, they sought to find ways to survive.
