The intense gun action story is set in the United States in the aftermath of the American Civil War. In the chaotic atmosphere of the postwar period, the northern government issues Licenses to Kill to bounty hunters in order for them to take out the South's remaining soldiers and outlaws. One of those bounty hunters, a female gunslinger known as Black Tiger, faces off against dark enemies who carry fiendish weapons.

The agency had already invested a lot of money in him, so they would not allow him to die so easily. In an act of desperation in order to save his life, the government transferred Jin Clice's mind into a the body of a recently deceased tennis player, which happens to be that of a lovely young beautiful woman! The dashing ladies man has, in essence, gone from being Bond to being the Bond girl!

Toki wa… is a manga about two guys who travel back in time and visit Tokiwa Manor in the 1950′s. Tokiwa Manor is an apartment building where Osamu Tezuka, the father of modern manga / anime, and many other early influential mangaka once lived.

The typical Kochikame plot involves Ryo-san coming up with a money-making scheme by inventing a new gadget or capitalizing on a fad, achieving great success, calling on Nakagawa's help as things turn sour, and finally losing it all as the fad runs out of steam or out of control. While the plots are gag-driven, much of the humor comes from the juxtaposition of mundane characters with the bizarrely incongruous (Nakagawa's wealth, Maria's appeal, everyone's lack of actual police work), most of which is never explained or rationalized in the slightest.

Note: Kochikame won the Special Judges Award at the 50th Shogakukan Manga Awards in 2005. Akimoto received the Special Prize at the 21st Tezuka Osamu Cultural Prize for the manga in 2017. Kochikame won the 2017 Seiun Award for Best Comic.
