To respond to the first point we gotta know what life would be like at this time/world, there is a verry clear hierarchy and this guy isnt a mc that had the ability to just run away with her. To top it off the rich guy guarantees a “decent life” or decent income/living expenses and a “better” future, however the not a monk yet was poor and had nothing to his name.
