The biggest 2 reasons i have are: the dog has survived way longer than it should have and should not be able to understand english but that that could be explained as the pet system. My second one is at an earlier chapter the dog ran up to mc and started licking his face, and lick donated at same time.

The big differences are this: character personality, and coherence. (minimal plot holes and logical choices) but most importantly is character. The reason we get stuck with generic isekai mc’s is because people either dont want them to have that much of a personality/self insert, or because characters with personality sometimes can have TOO much emphasis on their traits. (This is all my personal experience).
