I think I'm starting to get what's going on. In hundreds of timelines across the multiverse, MC got godly strong but went crazy, and led the monsters to fight against humanity. All these Sneakers are from those doomed timelines. Sneaker has chosen to refuse to believe in a timeline where the MC fights on humanity's side. It's pretty stupid, but also makes a bit of sense.

I won't take that bet. Manhuas tend to have some frightfully stupid people who would rather see the world burn than let the MC be better than them.

Yeah that's why I was frustrated of her treatment of him. She elevated him out of a horrible life and pretty much made her will his own, then just tossed him aside for what looked like no apparent reason. She didn't even tell him she was setting him free in a convincing way. She made herself into his sunshine and then just left him.

Ayyyy it's finally back! I had to reread the previous chapter to remember wtf it was, but I'm happy to see it's returned. The MC and the male lead were some frustrating people, but I enjoyed the overall story.
