Its like if you know someone feeding a Wild Lion in your Neighborhood, and then people started to kill the Lion because they afraid of the lion, the people of Neighborhood 100% in the right. And even if the Lion will survive and then the Lion kill them, the people in your Neighborhood did not deserve to die.
The problem is the human doesn't really know what the Invader are and how they are thinking. Because all of the propaganda make them believe that the Invader is evil and dangerous. They are just normal people who are justifiably afraid and even proven to be correct.
Yakushi and Yurimelida should understand that. But no, they think what the villager did are out of Malice(which is not, because it pure survival instinct). They could leave them alone, but no. Instead being the bigger person, they Killed the villager and make the villager being in the right for no reason.
