i liked this one for a while, but eventually it dawned on me that the "original plot" was always forcing its way back into every third conversation or inner monolouge.
there is no escaping it, so thus, our MC, being a villain that is supposed to "break the story" is failing spectacularly at his main goal

finally, chapters with some actual length again

note to self: he eventually gets "good enough" at barrier magic to create a actual clone of himself, and then the real one goes of doing interesting things and being heroic around the world, while the perspective continues following the clone thats going through a standard dense shonen school arc.

note to self: she create a working phone by "shaping" the potion container to have that functionality

the LN version of this story has been dead for a while, having only 19 chapters translated.
the WN however is still going strong, and in chapter "132 – Ship Handover" they start the process of getting familiar with and naming the big ship "black lotus"

i will be leaving it here, it committed the sin of introducing alien/otherworldly forces out of nowhere to raise the stakes.
