I really like part 1 and the anime adaptation is well deserved, I was wondering if it's ever gonna get season 2 but after reading part 2 it's best if they don't waste time on it, you'd think part 2 being twice as long mean we're gonna get another part 1 but twice as long but half of it is just a lot of dragging, detour on useless development, and horrible retcons because the author makes up the plot as they go, this makes me despise the writing and decided to drop the manga and watch the live action hoping for a better writing, and it was better, part 1 of the live action drama was pretty faithful and pretty much similar to the anime adaptation, the sequel movie skips the plot of part 2 but still includes the development that has to carry over for part 3 aka the only good parts of part 2 but the drawback of that is the reason for Reika being targeted was never explored, I don't have reference to compare for part 3 since I dropped the manga but I think the ending of the live action is a fitting ending for the premise of this story and I highly recommend the live action over the manga

Yes and no, the jersey and the stadium is from the u20 match but it's just a visualisation that he still wants to play soccer but it didn't actually happen, he did not run out to the stadium changing from the spandex into the uniform before the match started

This shitshow arc is finally over and I can finally drop the manga with the headcanon that he did kill Kubo and turned himself in, I can finally watch the live action movie with a hope that it will be written a lot better, the premise of a dad trying to cover up his crimes against the syndicate was interesting but it really goes off the rails in this arc, no wonder there are only misogynistic dumb incels left in the comments if it wasn't for my policy to finish a series on some ending I would've dropped this 50+ chapters ago, but the author is bad enough to not have any break point between volumes

That's the only use for the katana? It would've been more believable if Kubo throws it earlier before he had a chance to throw the flare but Tetsuo has to throw it to make a dramatic exit that Kubo survived

In the end he didn't use the katana, the author just draw him with one back in chapter 49 because it looked cool without any plan of using it

The author just thought it's cool for Kubo to hold a katana at the very start of this arc but never planned how he got it, so now they have to waste pages for glasses to deliver the katana to Kubo somehow

This would look good as an anime but it's very unlikely that it would get animated since even with cutting out all the unimportant parts of this arc it has been dragging on for so long it doesn't have a good halfway point to break up the seasons or cores

I still don't get why their father had to have Kasen as Ogamime and not her sister, because she actually believed the religion and would feel lied to? He's obviously fine with telling the truth that the religion is an act to Kasen it doesn't make a difference if he also told Kocho his other daughter

This wouldn't happen if you just take over as Ogamime instead of dragging her back here

I wonder if the next 100 chapters is gonna be Yoji's new cult vs Tetsuo, kinda wanna see it but the author has been dragging out and retconning the plot up to this point I just want to end it after this arc
