At the start of the chapter I was hype with this series but the amount of time they took to update cause this trope to fall behind and now I feel the story is bland and annoying, like the sturcture is very messy and I don't want to read soo many cramped texts

maybe for u, but think about it in asuka perspectives. BBD does give a good point. Normally for an experience person they would test the water and look at what works. But asuka is isn't experiennced enough to do so. Often you can see trait of him being impulsive in his behaviour. Plus think about it, the assasin is a human being that asuka assume himself able to attack, and comparing that assasin with a monster that is tens times larger, will he be able to think that he can defeat it? If in real battle I would also retreat and look for infomation before heading up attacking the monster.
