I like to make up creatures in my head and a few would be in that position. Let's say i dropped them in this series, they'd be the gatekeepers to the human realm. Their policy? Once the doors from either the demonic or angelic realms are opened, even if only a sliver, they will wait eoughly 20 years to act. However, this timing varies wildly and seemingly at random. The truth of the matter is they just wait until either invader is about to have some degree of success or do something severely detrimental, and then step in and crush them. At that point, any of demons still the human realm are killed. . Oh yeah, and ofc they are to demon as the demon lords are to a peasant. All fights are brutally one-sided.

If I could reach into this book, I'd simply warp space and push Hugo and Bishir right behind set. Then I'd whisk Pomeranian away to the other side of the garden and stand beside her, covering her eyes. If either of them are about to be crippled or heavily wounded by Set, I'd reach out and rip about ⅓ of his body away from the rest.
